Education: Bachelor of Arts in English & Art from Azusa Pacific University, 1988
Teaching License: English Language Arts (7-12) & Art (K-12)
Teaching Experience: 21 Years (This is my 8th year at Windsor Middle.)
Family: I've been happily married for 21 years with two amazing teenagers, Rebecca (16) & Kenny (14).
Why do I teach? One of the greatest, most fulfilling moments in my job is when a student observes his/her own growth and feels successful. I utterly adore and cherish those big and little "lightbulb" moments.
Hobbies: Singing, reading (I try to read at least a dozen books in the summer), walking, drawing, photography, and spending time with my family.
Favorite books I read this summer:
Joy: Poet, Seeker and the woman who captivated C.S. Lewis by Abigail Santamaria
Carly´s Voice - Breaking Through Autism by Arthur Fleischmann with Carly Fleischmann
Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys
Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys (a tale depicting some of the victims of Stalin's purge during WW2).
The Book Whisperer - Awakening the Inner Reader in Every Child by Donalynn Miller
