My name is Andrea Castleberry. I grew up just north of the CO/WY border in Cheyenne and graduated as a proud EHS Thunderbird. Since then I’ve lived in 3 more states and finished two higher education degrees. I have a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and a Masters of Science in Special Education. This will be my 13th year of teaching; my 9th year as a special educator.
Colorado, as you know, is an incredible place to live. My fiancé and I spend time with our families, take road trips, visit friends, and hike. As a Windsor resident - I like riding my bike around the lake and taking our chocolate lab for walks or swimming.
My philosophy in working with any student is summed up in this way - The learning will take place as you take a risk, try your best, and stick with it. I encourage students to think “bigger.” Bigger meaning any of the following: globally, empathetically, self-knowledge, independence, or final product.
