Dr. Shannon Devlin is the School Psychologist at Windsor High School, with 20+ years in the field having served in the capacity of: School Psychologist, Graduation Outreach Specialist, School Counselor, School Social Worker, and Building-level/District-level Crisis Response Coordinator. She is concurrently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Northern Colorado, teaching Threat Assessment and Crisis in the Schools, and has acquired her Principal licensure, after completing the Educational Leadership Master’s program at the University of Northern Colorado. Alongside her work in the public schools and University setting, Dr. Devlin is a Nationally Certified Trainer and Speaker for First Responders and Mental Health providers in the area of Crisis Response (National Association of School Psychologists PREPaRE model) , the I Luv You Guys Standard Response Protocol (SRP) Standard Reunification Method (SRM) for school emergencies and disaster; as well as a Nationally Certified Trainer of Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid. Her experience includes that of extensive work in the area of crisis response, prevention and intervention, including 5 years as a Victim Advocate/Victim Services Unit, Greeley Police Department; 17 years as a Colorado Statewide Crisis Responder, with completed training by the National Organization of Victim Assistance (NOVA), and Colorado Organization of Victim Assistance (COVA) ~ with invitations to speak at events such as the Columbine Briefings as an advocate for best practice in preventing and intervening in incidents of school tragedy. Further, Dr. Devlin serves as a national leader in her role as Coordinator Elect for the National Association of School Psychologists Crisis Management and Grief in Schools Interest Group. Dr. Devlin is presently expanding her knowledge and expertise in the area of Social Psychology of Sport and Exercise Science with emphasis on academic and behavior impact of concussion in sport and is currently the Strength and Agility Training Director & Sport Psychology Consultant for Powerhouse Volleyball Club; is the mother of twin 13-year old girls – 8th graders at Windsor Middle School; a Network Marketing Professional with a Health and Wellness Organization, Proceller8, with all the above passions fueled by faith and athleticism ~ rooted to her homeland of Nebraska ~ as such, is an avid Husker fan with an acquired love for the Broncos and the Rockies ~ and of course, the Windsor Wizards!
