Biography |
My name is Mrs. Mandy Logue and this is my thirteenth year as an elementary school teacher. Last year I taught 5th grade at MV. Previously, I taught for 11 years in the Thompson School District in Loveland, CO. I have taught third and fifth grade. In 2003, I graduated from University of Wyoming, with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in special education. I continued to pursue my education at the University of Northern Colorado, in Greeley, my hometown, where I earned my Masters Degree in Reading in 2008. I live in Windsor with my husband, Jeff, and our three-year- old daughter, Nora, who makes life exciting and fast paced! We like spending time as a family just hanging out, going places, or taking trips. I enjoy reading, exercising, being outside, doing home projects, and playing games. Being a part of this amazingly supportive community, incredible district, and fantastic school is a privilege. I enjoy collaborating with colleagues, children, parents, and community members to continue our challenging, yet attainable, work of closing the achievement gap for all kids. As an educator, my focus is on developing the whole child in an engaging and supportive learning environment. My teaching philosophy fosters building independence and accountability for learning while instilling a love of learning and incorporating 21 st century thinking and skills. I bring my “child-first” way of thinking, enthusiasm, and high expectations for all, to my everyday teaching approach. |
