I started teaching in 1998. I earned by BA from Colorado Christian University. I earned my 1st Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Colorado Christian University as well, and I recently earned my 2nd Masters in Educational Leadership with a principal license from Adams State University. I have taught all content areas in 4th , 5th, and 6th grades, and Language Arts in 7th/8th grades. I have also been an instructor for the teaching program at Colorado Christian University, teaching reading, writing, social studies, and science curriculum instruction. I was an instructor at Morgan Community College teaching music history, music appreciation, and writing composition.
I have three children, Sheila-- -X- ray Technician, personal trainer, and neuromuscular massage therapy. She and her husband live in Greeley and she has three children, Kade 9, Avyn 5, and Aria 1.5. Weston--personal trainer and chiropractor. They have two boys, Baze 5 and Briggs 3. Holli-- -Music teacher and worship leader at Timberline Church in Ft. Collins. She and her husband live in Greeley. My husband, Jim, works for MultiChem, analyzing and treating oil wells. Three of my grandkids, Kade4th grade, Avyn 1st grade, and Baze Kindergarten, will be attending at Grandview (YEA!!)
My hobbies are hiking and bike riding, hanging with family,enjoying nature (I love rivers), singing, and playing the piano. I love to read!!! I am on the worship team at Cross Roads in Greeley. My favorite color is purple and teal, author, Karen Kingsbury (any Christian fiction really) and love Joyce Meyer and Max Lucado. My favorite drink is water (for real), favorite food is Mexican, and I love chocolate, essential oils,and angels.
I have hiked Longs Peak 3 times, ran the Colorado Marathon in Ft. Collins, and hope to do it again this spring.
