My beautiful wife and I before another Bronco Victory and the newest edition to our family!
Hello!
My name is Dillon Turpin and I am excited to be here at WMS! I have been teaching for the past eight years in a variety of Social Studies courses including Ancient Civilizations, American History, American Government, World Geography and World Religions just to name a few. I have taught high school Social Studies for a majority of my career and I am excited to start educating Middle School students. I have taught in Colorado Springs and Littleton School Districts and now we are even further north in Weld Re-4. The running joke is that my wife and I are gonna be near Canada by the time we retire because we keep moving further and further north.
I was born and raised in Colorado Springs and attended St. Mary's High School, GO PIRATES, for all four years. I then attended Briar Cliff University, GO CHARGERS, in Sioux City, Iowa for my Bachelor's Degree in History minor in secondary education. I also earned a football scholarship and played defensive back for the Chargers from 2003-2007. I have been a football coach since 2007 at the high school level and would love to continue my coaching career up here. My wife and I have been married for the past 3 years and we just welcomed our son in July. We are excited and love our little man to death. I have been a Denver Bronco fan since I could walk and a Kansas Jayhawk since I could talk, RCJH. I am looking forward to this school year and excited to be a part of the Wizard community! GO WIZARDS!
